Gas prices.....

Is anyone else feeling the financial crunch? I am having to budget for gas now....this is ridiculous. After 2 1/2 years of subbing I am considering leaving. I just don't know how bad it is gonna get. Has anyone heard anything about more EMA increases or the standard use of LLV's?

I share your feelings as well. I've been subbing all over my area for 7.5 years and the gas situation is way out of hand and no end in sight.We are supposed to get an ema increase july 5th is what i read.Is this still true?Still,not nearly enough.

Yes, I believe we are all feeling the crunch. It is ridiculous that we have to subsidize the USPS with out EMA. I hate to hear of anyone thinking of leaving, but I have to say with the nature of the USPS these days I cannot blame them.

They are slowing sending more (used) LLVs out to rural routes, but it will be a long time before we all have them. The shorter the route, the better chance of getting and LLV assigned.

This EMA increase will help a little, but still is not a fair amount...

I am a sub also here is what I did a few years ago. Open yourself up a checking account only for your EMA money, use that account for gas and repairs. If you are faithful and put your EMA money in the account when you get paid you should be OK. If you have a big repair bill you might be in trouble. I drive a Grand Cherokee that only gets 10-11 mpg.
